January Playlist

New years resolutions may have slipped to the back of your minds and the biscuit tin will most probably will have slipped to the front of the cupboard but don't let your lack of motivation get you down, there's still another 11 months to crack those new fad diets! In this little month I've crammed a fair amount of new music into my ears, I've always been a huge lover of music but towards to end of last year I seamed to forget music existed. I leaning more towards calming folky styles as opposed to the heavier stuff I used to listen to.

My most played this month are all quite relaxing music, mostly listened too while working away with a candle burning in the background. Tom Odell was name I'd seen floating around on twitter and such but hadn't yet listened to, after Youtubing several of his songs, I'm in love! Local musicians have always played a big part of my musical tastes, weekends used to be for seeing acoustic sets in little bars with my mum. Edd Saffell, a lovely friend of mine, has such a beautiful Marcus Mumford-esque voice and brilliant lyrics, Click through to his SoundCloud (link above) and have a listen, you'll be hooked. 

I have no doubt all of these will feature in February's most played, alongside some new musical discoveries.
